Happy to announce that "Three Boats/ Boat Meadow" won second place in the oil painting category at the Creative Arts Center in Chatham.

Juror Rosalie Nadeau said about Joanne's painting, "Beautiful handling and execution of the painted boats and atmosphere. I love the fact that nothing is parallel, with tilted masts and angles. Well done!"

Pleased to announce that my painting Skiff Hill Vista won first prize in the oil division at the Chatham Creative Arts Center during the Member's show this fall. Alison Collins owner of Collins Gallery in Orleans, MA judged the show. This is what she said about my painting. "Ms. Quinn's calming landscape, Skiff Hill Vista has a beautiful simplicity to it. Although this is clearly a representational work of art. The square format with limited color palette force the viewer to consider the abstractions made by color and shape found in nature."
